TURBO at major industry event: AMI Wind Turbine Blades 2025

  • by

The TURBO project had a strong presence at the AMI Wind Turbine Blades conference in Duesseldorf last week. This is probably the premier event in the WTB manufacture industry in Europe and a provided a great audience to disseminate TURBO outputs.

In addition to the TURBO tabletop booth (shown right), the project was able to get several presentations onto the highly competitive agenda.

On the first day (WED 10-Dec-2025), Anthony Fraisse from DTU Wind and Energy Systems gave an overview of his department’s activities, including TURBO. Then Amilcar Quispitupa from SIEMENS GAMESA RENEWABLE ENERGY AB, the TURBO end user, gave a presentation on damage tolerance, a key TURBO topic and Debabrata Adhikari from DTU Construct presented on TURBO simulations. Finally on THU 11-Dec-2025, Daniel Griffin from NCC gave an overview of the project from the perspective of data optimisation for process control.
